Jason LeVan is a sculptor with a background steeped in craft. Based in South Florida, LeVan is the recipient of the Friedland Project Grant, Rothenberger Scholarship, and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship through his home institution, Florida Atlantic University.
He has exhibited alongside his cohort as well as many other emerging and established artists, and has recently undertaken a select two-person exhibition at the Fritz Gallery. In addition to showing his work nationally, LeVan is a dedicated contributor to the local and regional arts community. He is a founding member of the H/ours Collective, a group of artists, committed to collaboration and the cultivation of personal artistic practices. He has facilitated workshops and taught classes at regional art centers including: The Armory Art Center and The Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. LeVan’s commitment to his community also includes fostering the appreciation of art by volunteering at the Boca Museum of Art, and working for the curatorial department at The Norton Museum of Art.
He will receive his Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University in May 2020.
